Hi everyone,

I would like to know if there is a simple way to verify the ZIIP consuption
with SMF?

I saw te CPC Capacity on RMF Monitor, but is online and 'right now'.

CPC CAPACITY - RMF

3 -> 1 - PROC
3 -> 1 -> 3 CPC CPC capacity

I collected with RMF CPU Activity Report.
RMF Postprocessor reads the SMF type 70 records to generate the RMF CPU
Activity Report .

I used the RMF SpreadSheet Reporter, to see graphics.

*But, I can see through graphing the use of ZIIP but I can not see who is
consuming this.*

** Batch job RMF Postprocessor*

//RMFPP EXEC PGM=ERBRMFPP
//MFPINPUT DD DISP=SHR,DSN=SMF.DATASET.SORTED
//SYSIN DD *

DINTV(0060) /*Duration Interval*/

REPORT(CPU)
==============================

I tried with the SCRT from IBM, but just show the ' CPU ACTIVITY' not ZIIP.

CPU ACTIVITY)
2.) - TYPE 89 - PRODUCT UTILIZATION

SMF type 70, subtype 1 records and type 89, subtype 1 and 2 records

For z/OS® systems your input to SCRT is one reporting period's worth of SMF
type 70, subtype 1 (CPU activity) records and type 89 (product utilization)
records.

==============================

Can anyone, help me, please?

Regards,

Ana Paula

The type 72s will give you zIIP utilization on a service class and report class basis. You can use the RMF post processor Workload Activity Report (WLMGL) to report on those records.

The type 30s will give you utilization on an address space level. You'll need to use some other tool for reporting on those.
