While IBM supposably restored all their web links, the ones to TASID are
still broken.  Anybody know where IBM hid TASID?

If you look at the site, you will find that it has not been updated
for 2/OS 2.3 and maybe 2.2

Very true. Although I do have it running under zOS V2.2 at our site.

The only TASID issue for our 2.2 upgrade was Option #4 (Initiator Status List). The error messages were "Unsupported Level" and after pressing PF1, 'TASID could not find the PIT control block'.

A Google search on "TASID initiator status" should lead you to the zap that corrected this issue at zOS V2.2.

ISTR there was a note put out that when the author Doug Nadel retired it would no longer be supported. Evidently there are enough internal sites using it to find value in updating it to supported levels. Seems like it could be more straightforward for the rest of the pilgrims

Doug Nadel retired, and so TASID is moribund.

but a lot of the functions have been moved into the SDSFAUX functions, and I had heard suggestions that more would be over time.

Which is OK for users of SDSF.

The parts of TASID I use still seem to work OK on z/OS 2.3, so I have not gone looking for any updates.

Bruce

No. Rocket has *not* been moving *any* IBM TASID functions to SDSF.

Rather, those "new" functions in SDSF are Rob Scott's MXI, which Rocket
has been marketing for some time now.
